Representative Squad

Over the years, we have developed a successful Representative Squad programme designed to provide talented players with additional opportunities to showcase their ability at a higher level.

Players are identified through recommendations from coaches, clubs and league staff before being invited to attend bespoke training camps. These sessions allow players to demonstrate their technical ability, attitude, commitment and potential while working within a professional training environment.

Selected players go on to represent the league against EFL Academy opposition, providing invaluable experience of competing against players within professional club systems. These fixtures offer a realistic insight into the standards, demands and expectations of the professional game.

The programme has been created to bridge the gap between grassroots and academy football, ensuring that talented players who may have been overlooked still have the opportunity to test themselves at an elite level. It also allows scouts, coaches and professional clubs to observe players performing in a competitive environment against high-quality opposition.

Our Representative Squad reflects our commitment to player development and our ambition to create meaningful progression pathways, giving young footballers the chance to gain exposure, challenge themselves and fulfil their potential.
