Welcome to Future Lions Education

Since beginning as a local football academy in Northamptonshire, the Future Lions Group has grown on an international scale, founding academies and football clubs that are providing new platforms for players in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America to thrive.

Future Lions Education now provides alternative provision in Northamptonshire that supports 10-19 year olds with SEND needs by balancing education with sport, operating from both our Kettering and Wellingborough hubs. We aim to establish a leading reputation in this sector, mirroring the success we have achieved across further and higher education.

Our longstanding Sports BTEC courses for 16-19 year olds were rated “good” in 2024 by OFSTED and are run in several locations in England – each within an established football club environment – and students will be able to pick the brains of former professional footballers who are excellent role models and mentors as part of our established staff.

Expanding our offer in 2025 with our alternative education offer, the innovative and transformative programmes have been designed to address the critical needs of young people with SEND needs. Providing them with skills, opportunities and confidence to build successful futures.
