EmpowerU — Supporting SEND Learners Through Safe, Small-Group Education
EmpowerU is a specialist programme for 11–19-year-olds who benefit from alternative provision (EOTAS). Our mission is to empower young people with SEND, giving them the confidence, skills, and qualifications they need to thrive in education, sport, and life.
A Safe Space for SEND Learners
At EmpowerU, we provide a safe, supportive environment where learners can thrive. Our small-group approach, with a maximum of 6 learners per group and a 3:1 learner-to-staff ratio, ensures individual attention and promotes confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.
Highly Qualified Staff in Education and Sport
Our team consists of highly qualified educators and sports professionals, dedicated to helping learners re-engage with education, build confidence, and develop personal and physical skills.
Tailored English and Maths Programmes
All learners undertake initial English and maths assessments on arrival. Based on these results, we deliver tailored curricula designed to support academic progress and skill development, ensuring each learner achieves their potential.
Indoor and Outdoor Activities
Every EmpowerU site offers fantastic outdoor sports facilities, complemented by a variety of indoor activities. Students engage in physical activity, creativity, and teamwork, giving them a balanced and enriching educational experience.
